FYP2 WEEK 4

 Activity: UPDATE THE BLOCK DIAGRAM

Objective
To identify the overall system of the prototype.

The temperature sensor will be the main input for my project. The temperature sensor will read the ambient temperature and the temperature will be shown on the LCD 20x4. The Arduino Uno R3 then processed the analog input signal converted into a digital output. The main output for this project would be the fan, the water pump, and the heater. The sprinkler system is basically a water distribution piping where it enables the water to flow to the roof top.

FYP 2 WEEK 2

 ActivitySTUDY ON ARDUINO MODULE

The student continues to collect additional data on the module that needs to be used in the second week of the FYP 2. The data enables the student to have a better understanding of the module's behavior. The student may then plan which module will be utilized to create the prototype based on this information.

FYP1 WEEK 16

Activity: Proposal Report Compilation and Correction

After I compiled my report, I submit it to Dr. Zuhanis for the plagiarism check. Turn out that my plagiarism result is 40%. So I need to reduce it to less then 20% (<20%). Then I made some correction using the plagiarism result report as reference. After I have done with my correction, I resubmit my new FYP 1 Report to Dr. Zuhanis to do the plagiarism check and my plagiarism result is 10%.

Wednesday

FYP1 WEEK 15

Tuesday

FYP1 WEEK 8

Activity: Study About Arduino

Objective :
To identify the suitable type of Arduino used for this project.

Content :
Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects. Arduino consists of both a physical programmable circuit board (often referred to as a microcontroller) and a piece of software, or IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on your computer, used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.  Additionally, the Arduino IDE uses a simplified version of C++, making it easier to learn to program. Finally, Arduino provides a standard form factor that breaks out the functions of the micro-controller into a more accessible package.

Types of Arduino :

1.    Arduino Uno (R3)

The Uno is a great choice for your first Arduino. It’s got everything you need to get started, and nothing you don’t. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a USB connection, a power jack, a reset button and more. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.

Wednesday

FYP1 WEEK 7

Title: Workshop on Introduction and Literature Review

Basically for this week is about the briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted through Microsoft Teams because we can't have a face to face meeting since there is a pandemic going around which is COVID-19. The attendance of all the student that are taking the FYP 1 was compulsory.

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about :
·         Introduction
·         Objectives
·         Problem Statements
·         Scope of projects
·         Project Assessment
·         Literature Review

  • Finding a source like article, journal, and article about Cooling System
  • Study and learn some system that using in this project

Objective :

  • To learn the cooling process work.

Conclusion :
Conclusion for this week I have done some study regarding my project and understanding about cooling process

Tuesday

FYP1 WEEK 5

Activity: Final week for FYP Supervisor and Title Registration

This week is the final week to find supervisor and register our title. After a lot of research, I have come out with 2 project title. The first title is The Development of Automatic Cooling Roof and the second title is IoT Based Traffic Light Information System.

I decided to search for lecturers that are still available to be the supervisor for FYP. I went to see Dr. Zuhanis Binti Mansor and then ask her to be Supervisor of my Final Year Project. Usually, the name that has been in Supervisor list need their own quota for the student to be under his/her supervision.

Dr. Zuhanis asked me about my project title and then we have decided to pick the
Development of Automatic Cooling Roof Using PLC since it is related to my course.

Wednesday

FYP1 WEEK 4

Activity: SURVEYING TITLE FOR FINAL YEAR PROJECT

For this week, as was briefed in the Introductory FYP1 Briefing, students may choose the titles that are offered by lecturers (FYP supervisors) or come out with own ideas. After doing some thinking, I decided to go for titles that are offered.

The titles that are offered can be seen at the FYP website which is http://fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my/. I read through the list of the titles and each synopsis of the project so that I can understand the requirement and criteria needed to complete the project.
